Walk a mile in Che’s shoes.
Che Spottings aren’t always public displays of artwork created by Che-inspired artists.
Often times Che’s image is seen plastered on mass produced clothing and accessories. T-shirts are common, but shoes are more rare.
These shoes were found while browsing the funky shops on Duval Street in Key West, Florida.
Imagine standing about as close as you can get to Cuba, while still being in the United States, wearing Che shoes. Or not.
Actually, the most spotted Cuban-beloved icon in Key West: poet, writer, and original Cuban revolutionary Jose Marti.
Sorry folks, the “Che Unity” shoes have been discontinued by the manufacturer.

The style name for these shoes is “Che Unity.”
They were designed and sold by a company called Draven.

Draven has discontinued the shoes, but you can still find them selling online for about $25 US.
Here they are in white and black:

If you hunt, you might also be able to find them in olive green/black and red/black.
My niece and I went to Cuba on a dancing cultural exchange (when cultural exchanges were still legal from the U.S. - pre Bush years).
I loved Cuba and look forward to a time when Americans can go there and visit again.
Interesting blog.
