Petra, Jordan
Che hoofs it in the Pink City
This picture was submitted by Jen P, who spotted this Che while traveling through Jordan.
The Bedouin, she explained, are the native population of Jordan. They often live traditionally, in rustic conditions, sleeping in tents. Or, like the tribe she encountered while touring Petra, they live and work within the building facades of the lost city.
In Petra, jobs solely consist of serving tourists — selling handmade items or leading horses and donkeys to transport weary holidaymakers.
The young men in these jobs, however, aren’t wearing traditional robes. Instead they wear Che t-shirts and jeans. And they also sport long, scruffy hair (just like you know who).
